Thanks-
- To our department leaders for attending a school improvement PD day at the RESA.
- To everyone for your first GO time!
- To Joe Rommel and John Phillips from the RESA for agreeing to head the Coders Club!
- To Amy P., Torrey, and Kara for NWEA make-up coordination.
Picture Day Today-
The picture day today should go fairly quickly. We will call down 8th graders first. If you have not had your picture taken you need to do so this morning as well. Thanks!
Student Count Day-
Just a reminder that student count day is next Wednesday, October 4th. We just ask that you have an accurate attendance on this day each hour. Please also remember to not put any tardies into PowerSchool for this day.
Wolf Lake Hatchery & Water Filtration Plant-
An early heads up that the 8th graders will be gone on October 24th & 26th. Amy MacKellar and Melissa Foster(one section) on the 24th & Jenna Francis and Melissa Foster (one section) on the 26th. The students will once again go to the fish hatchery and the water filtration plant. This is a nice kick-off to Salmon in the classroom.
1/2 Days in November-
Another early heads up: November 9th and November 10th are half-days for conferences and the day after. We will do hours 1, 2, and 3 on Thursday, November 9th and hours 4, 5, and 6 on Friday, November 10th.
Go Time Reminders-
1) When marking a closed session please remember to go in and invite students. We had some closed sessions with zero requests. This will make for big numbers of students having no place to go. 2) If you have a sub put it open to 25 students for something (activity, free-read, study hall, etc.)
I think for the first go around it went pretty well overall. :)
Eligibility-
We are running eligibility sometime between 10:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M. on Fridays starting the third week of the season. Please make sure grades are as up to date as possible. We did have a few ineligible this week.
Congrats to Lincoln School-
U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos yesterday recognized 342 schools as National Blue Ribbon Schools for 2017. The recognition is based on a school's overall academic performance or progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups. Lincoln School was a 2017 National Blue Ribbon Award Winner.
