Weekly Top for 5-4-18

Folks,


Staff meeting Monday-
We will have Dr. Reagle from Andrews University speaking on an central auditory processing disability that several students have in our school and district.  We will also be addressing some safety and security issues, a student-ambassador update from Beth & Torrey, and a quick announcement from Amy D.





Schedule D on your time schedules for NWEA-
Schedule D (alternate) on your bell schedules is what we will be following for Tuesday (May 8th) and Friday (May 11th) for the NWEA testing.  Tuesday- Reading and  Friday- Math.  NWEA first followed by 1st hour which will begin at 9:45 AM on those two dates.





Teacher Appreciation Luncheon-
Next Thursday, May 10th will be the teacher appreciation luncheon put on by our UPTO.  The dessert will be provided by the Board of Education. 




Go Time reminder for next week-
Just remember that GO time next week will be the Little Mermaid teaser show.  However, if you have a student/s that need intervention please request them. If the student is in the Little Mermaid Jr. performance that will trump the intervention just for this time.



May 17th-
Thursday, May 17th we will not have GO time at the middle school.  Our 7th graders are heading to Chicago to visit the Field Museum, and the 5th graders will be visiting Upton for their orientation.   





Ren Baldwin Technology Festival-
The 2018 Ren Baldwin Student Technology Festival will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018, in the SJHS Student Center.  This free family event runs from 6:00-7:30 p.m., with awards and door prize giveaways beginning at 7:00 p.m.  The festival will include hundreds of student projects, robotics, digital citizenship activities, a scavenger hunt, and more!  Come see the amazing technology work being done in St. Joseph Public Schools.  



Upton Musical-
Next Saturday is the big event!  It will be wonderful! 


Guidance Blog-
Hopefully you saw Torrey's email Wednesday on the Guidance Blog.  This department is doing a lot of great things this school year.  If you didn't see it here it is:

Good luck to our marching band tomorrow-
Good luck to our high school band at the Blossomtime parade!  I am sure Aaron has them ready to go. :)
