Great Back to School Night-  

What a great night it was at Back to School Night!  Parents that came were happy, positive, and loving the experience.  I attended two  sessions myself and the presentations were wonderful!  Thanks for all the work you put into it!

Attendance Each Hour-

We would appreciate if you would take attendance each hour of each day.  It helps the ladies up front out so much and also helps to avoid our automatic callout system sending an errant phone call.  

All District Spirit Week Next Week -

All across the district next week each level will be participating in a spirit week.  Please consider joining in each day.

The Laminator-

The laminator is down and a repairperson has been called in.  It had major damage.  Moving forward we will have the laminator in the office.  Next week I will announce a system we will follow for getting something laminated.  It is an expensive tool and so we will be making a few changes.  Thanks!

Positivity Project-

It is always a good idea to just take a glance at the day's slides a little before you present them.  Anne MacDonald and I had a wonderful time with our group on Tuesday.  The 7th grade videos and discussion was very rich!  It was the best part of my day Tuesday!  It's all about relationships and making "our students" feel like Upton Middle School is a place they like to be to learn.  😀

BLT-

We will have our first BLT meeting of the year after school on Tuesday, September 21st in the conference room.  Your department leaders do such a great job of representing your department and work hard to facilitate great PLC teams.

PLC-

Speaking of PLC's, next Wednesday, September 22nd will be your first official PLC Wednesday.  This year they will all be held in person, but someone who is out could remote in if your department chooses to.  

Positive Vibes-

Each Friday by 10:00 AM if you have a positive vibe please submit it to the bucket, so Laura can type them up before the day ends.  I really enjoyed reading last week's vibes.  We have a lot of great people doing really amazing things!
