Weekly Top for 2-24-23

 Folks,


Congrats to Ben and MathCounts Team -


This excerpt is compliments of Coach Holleman!

The team of Albert Pham, Hank Fisbeck, Owen Wingate and Patrick Pham took first place at the Chapter event at Western Michigan and will practice their divisibility tests to be ready for the state competition. Albert placed 2nd individually in the entire competition and Patrick was 3rd.  Atharv Saxena also advanced to the state competition as placing 5th.The rest of the MathCounts team this year who competed were Aaron Conley, Lorelei Fugal, Eeshaan Ale, Divyang Verma, and Swarnali Basu. Evan Lokey and Rueben Lorenz also are a part of the championship team.



Good luck at Choir Festival -

Good luck to Beth and our middle school choirs as they compete at The Chapel next Tuesday, February 28th in their choir festival. We always say this is like their M-Step!

7th grade: Heading to The Chapel at 7:55 AM.

6th grade: Heading to The Chapel at 1:30 PM. 

8th grade: After school




Special Fund Request -
Just a reminder that next Wednesday, March 1st is the deadline for the special fund grant request for club advisors. Here is the link:




Pre-Festival Concert -
Next Wednesday, March 1st beginning at 7:00 PM at the John & Dede Howard Auditorium will be the band & orchestra pre-festival concert. This is a great tuneup for their upcoming festival performances.



Spelling Bee Rescheduled-
The spelling bee has been rescheduled to next Tuesday, February 28th at Lake Michigan College. Coach Gressley always does a great job preparing her team!



UPTO Next Week -
Our next UPTO meeting will be next Tuesday, February 28th at 8:30 AM. This amazing crew also wants to remind you of the online request for funds.




No meetings next week -
No formal staff meetings next week and our next big group meeting will be Monday, March 6th. Kristen Bawks, Kara, and Melissa will be presenting a few items as well as our UPTO will make another appearance!
